Our food contact materials according to EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011

Food contact materials must comply with certain legislations. In the European regulation EC 1935/2004, main requirements are stated on materials intended to come into contact with food. And, since the 1st of May 2011, regulation EU 10/2011 applies on rubber and plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

Although these regulations came into effect a long time ago, we at Ridderflex have noticed that quite often questions are being asked about regulation EC 1935/2004. Also, the demand for food-grade rubber and plastic products is increasing. In this article we are happy to share some information and we put our food-grade rubber and plastic materials in the spotlights.
